Pretty Sticky

Just jumping in again this week to join the lovelies at Butterfly Effect and their theme of FLOWERS.

I don't know why I've had stickers on my mind. I've always adored them and collected them in grade school. I still get giddy over a yummy scratch-n-sniff one or an extra glittery one :)

I even ordered some stickers with my art on them from MOO!  I can't wait to get those!
So, it just felt appropriate to spend some time getting my sticky on ;P

Maggie and I used Sharpies to draw shapes and designs on thicker sheets of white paper.
It was a nice way to spend some time together...sitting side by side, doodling and admiring each other's work :)
These are mine...

Maggie's are below.

...then we colored them in with Prismacolor pencils.

I cut them out when they were ready and sent them through this.

Do you have a Xyron machine? If you don't, look into one!!  You put your diecuts, photos, random bits of paper, fabric, anything that isn't too thick in...crank the handle...and it comes out the other side as a sticker!!

You can also get laminate cartridges and magnet backing cartridges, if you prefer. It comes in a 12 inch size, too, but, I'm financially challenged and could only afford the 5 incher.

I LOVE my Xyron!  I used it to make those Witch Pantry Labels last Halloween....remember those?

Now, I have some pretty embellishments for my envelopes :)

Hope you have a flower-filled week!

Yours in stickiness,
Cam ;P

So cool. Love that it had you spending time together and doing such a fun thing. All my lot have been obsessed with stickers at one point or another. It's Ruby at the moment. You are a very lucky person if you escape the house without having been stealth Ruby'd. Many's a time I've found stickers on my backside, the backs of my legs... my arms :P

I'm new to your blog and as I browsed through I see all sorts of fun creative stuff - I love Carla's book too and work on an exercise now and then. It helps remove the intimidation of 'drawing'. I'm your newest follower!

These stickers are so cool!.... And I miss my girls being young like that. Of course now i can get them to do some creative stuff too but it's just so much fun when they're little. I think I need grandkids! Oh, I finally did a left handed sketch and linked up, it went better than i expected.

Oh cute stickers! I didn't know there was such thing as a machine that makes stickers. That's magical :) Actually, your sharpie suggestions have got me addicted. I'v been using them in all sorts of silly places. In my art especially they've come in handy, because they do thin or thick black lines and don't smudge under a glaze. Brilliant!

Oh I had one of those machines but it has been swallowed up in the black hole that is my old bedroom :-( booo! Also can i just say I love your stickers! Especially the little sugar skull ones :-D

oh Wow! I've never seen one of these before, how cool is that? now you got me wanting one, since I was wondering how I could get some stickers of my art to add as gifts. So is this something Michaels has?
I'm also not very good at figuring out anything technical, so it would have to be easy enough for a kid to use, haha!

I think the stickers both you and your sweet Maggie are just fabulous! great way to spend the day!

thanks for dropping by my blog, even though I've been terrible at maintaining it (hangs head in shame). I haven't done a girl painting in so long, just lots and lots of backgrounds, lol! I'm almost intimidated to paint something, isn't that crazy?
I gave up trying to work on the Drawing lab too :-(
did you know she has online classes?

oh, so many questions, you don't have to answer, lol! I'm just in a very 'talkative' mood :-D
