Remember Me?

So, I try to get back here often....I really do!
I always feel so good when I have a new post under my belt.  I'll be sailing on wonderful visits and delightful comments for a few days.....then a few more days will pass....and I'll keep saying that I need to put a new post up....then a few more days go by....and I start feeling stressed and rushed....it couldn't have been a whole week already, I never finished (fill in the blank) to share!

Well, that's just the way it goes ;P
I don't have as much as I'd like to show you, but, things start to get even busier starting tomorrow....so I hope it will suffice until next week.

It's been pretty warm around here for Winter.....has me thinking of vacation, which gets me excited about Glass Beach....which, in turn, makes me realize I need to make more hair clips :)

It's almost therapeutic sifting and searching through all my found bits of glass and shell....putting them together to make little pieces of wearable art.
I say "almost therapeutic" because while it is relaxing to my brain, my neck protests ;)

Being able to find the perfect way to use those extra special finds is gratifying, though.  I've hoarded them long enough...haha!  That mussel shell above is gorgeous in person.

These are among my favorite colors to find on the beach.....like solidified water droplets.....they almost glow in the sunlight...
See, only 4 new clips....not much.....but, it's something.  I'm working on other things, really!  Like my submissions for Stampington....getting close to done on that whole process....
...and....Lisa from the Wright Stuff and I have decided to do the lessons from this book together every week or so....
Haven't started yet....
Soon, very soon!

Do you have this book, too?
Do you wanna join us?
It looks really fun....loose and playful....
I get so hung up on details and have trouble being loose like this.  I think it will be good for me...for us...
C'mon....play along if you can :D

Oh, and if you are on Skype, let's totally set up some crafty Playdates!!

Hope your February is already starting out wonderfully!
Hugs to you all,
Cam

Hello Cameron, your hairclips art put a smile on my face whenever I look at it. It troughs me directly in the good holidaytimes in hot sun, warm sand and a deep blue see... can smell it immediately! These clips are real gorgeous!

Love these hairclips, and the time it took for them to come about-- starting out with collecting all of the glass and shells--beautiful!!
This is on my list to do this summer with my daughter--take advantage of where we live and collect some beach glass!
P.S. have the book--but where in the world is it in this house????
:)

~not much...its plenty!!! just your presence alone is one in which leaves us happy but then your beautiful clips grace this space and all the more better!!! my kindred glass seeking sifting searching friend...i long for a day at our glass beach...it has been almost a year since i have been and i keep telling my family i need to go...want to go...alas it is just too could to spend hours walking and playing...but soon!!! the book below looks like it will be a fun adventure...letting loose especially in the art~drawing field is a troubled area for me...color scares me...hehehe!!! i may have to look this up and see what it has to offer...be well and much love light and blessings~

Love your clips! They are so pretty. I still haven't decided what to do with all that lovely glass you sent me. Right now, I have it in a dish on my vanity where I can see it every day! :)
That book looks fun! I used to love to draw but it got pushed aside as I got older. I will see if I can find that book at the library! :)

I got the book from the library last year and browsed it and felt too intimidated and returned it. but I've since taken one of Carla's on-line classes, and I've seen so many other "non-drawers" get so much out of the book, maybe it's time to try again!

Love your hair clips, they're so beautiful. Another blog friend of mine was telling me I need to go down and visit Glass Beach, it sounds amazing!! You are so creative with everything you do.
And YES!!! I would love to do the book with you, but I don't own that book, so if I can acquire it soon, I will let you know. That would be so much fun! Hugs

I am in LOVE with your awesome clips - truthfully & seaglass is natures way of recycling & giving back something beautiful... which you in turn made even more so - brilliant!

Cameron! Oh Cameron! I love those barrettes! Is the Glass Beach you are referring to in Northern California? We've been to that beach, but I could not remember where you are from.

How fun that you and Lisa are doing that book together!

I picked up the book from the library last night. It's fun! I started the 30 cats activity...which of course I adored! Then I skipped over to drawing faces with my non dominant hand! Fun times. :) I'll post pics eventually...

I totally have that book. I was sent it to review and have yet to do it! I'm in!

I shall also look into skype if you reckon I can use it without camera- which I didn't know!
