Quick Update

Hello All!

So glad to have you here again!  I've been keeping busy, busy, busy!
This is my favorite time of year.....and my mind won't stop swimming with new ideas....and my to do list grows perpetually longer :D

Here are some things that have crossed my work desk lately.

2 more mermaids in progress.  I've been getting some wonderful pieces from talented ladies who have signed up for my Mermaid Swap.  There is still another week to get those mermaids in the mail!

I will do a huge post at the close of it to show off all the lovely things that are now mine, all mine....mwuahaha!

Hmmmmm.....these look interesting!

All the brown is pigment ink from hand aging a million witchy jar labels for my shop.  You can see them there in the photo below.

There also sits a little black lump.

I had an old empty spool and wondered what it would look like if I added a head and threw some clay over it all.  I think he turned out quite nicely :)

I just love making black cats.  I've made some before, if you remember....and I'm sure there will be more in my future ;P

...and what of those weird golf tee looking things from before?

Well, they became these!

For the discerning Collector to enhance their Cabinet of Curiousities!

These items are sitting on the shelves of my humble shop.

Thank you so much to all of you who come back here again and again to visit with me!
Having you as my peers and friends makes doing what I do so much richer...
.....and a whole lot more fun!

Candy corn kisses,
Cam

Christmas in July!

Well, more like Halloween in May!

I've been working on a Halloween trade with Richelle of Rinni's Playground.  We are supposed to sculpt something for the other....my idea, but then things got crazy around here and I was having trouble fitting in some clay time...

I finally managed to make this little Creepsake Box for her :)
This is Midnight.

Made with Paperclay, a styrofoam ball skull and paper mache box.

His eyes are filled with moonbeams in a sea of blue.

Under his box is a quick verse that says,
"The witch flies high
black cat by her side...
Spreading magic into the starry sky."

...and inside...

...the Magic Sprinkler, herself with Midnight in tow.

I hope Rinni likes him :)

In keeping with the whole Christmas in July title, I'm offering a pre-vacation Sale in my humble shop.
Just use coupon code THANKS2U for 20% off everything in the store!

We are getting ready to take our annual camping vacation.  We leave June 4th, so get your favorites now!
Hope you are having a wonderful weekend!

Hugs,
Cameron

Claythings

There's been a strange, new development in my studio lately....
I go to bed with a new Paperclay package set out for the next day...
and when I wake up......a figurine is standing on my desk next to an empty wrapper....
Those clay elves must be at it again!

Ahhhh, if only that were true!
I bought a large amount of the stuff back in January and just now started to try my hand at it.

It's not easy......

But I quickly became addicted!
Now, in addition to the usual paint smears on my clothes and skin, you can now find clay bits under my nails and gesso in my hair :)

What do you think of this guy?

I call him Bug~a~Boo because of his buggy eyed expression....
He's actually a functioning box for.....wait for it....

......creepsakes...haha!
Move over Martha Boowart!
Here is the Hostess with the Grossest!
She comes with accessories like these Black Widow cookies....Devil's Food, of course!

All these fun, spooky things....

This grinning witch really turned into a labor of love....I kept adding more and more to her....I had to completely repaint her dress 3 times!

But I think she's frightfully delightful now!

She stands almost 10 inches (24 cm) high!

Did those cookies make you hungry?  I have just the thing for you!

Btw, do you like the neat filters I'm using on some of the photos? I got them here!

Creepy Crawly Confections, anyone?

Just something fun for staging a witchy tea party scene ;P

And then, there is Smudge...

With book in hand, he keeps secrets and sorts spells....a cute little Witch's Apprentice!

Have Magic, will travel ;P

I had to add the pumkin to make him balance....look at that tail...haha!

And, not to leave out my Christmas loving friends....

Jingles is my very first snowman...

I gave him actual twig arms...just like a real snowman!

All these creations are in my shop ready to find new homes :)

What will the clay elves make next?
Heeheehee!

Biggest hugs!
