Crafting Frenzy!

Hi Guys!
Did you have a nice weekend?
Scoop up any good deals?

I'm sad to see the Autumn and Harvest decor officially gone, but I am excited about another Christmas!  Amazing that 2012 is almost over!

Now, I'm going to apologize in advance.....
This blog's content over the next month is probably going to be short on words.

I'm simultaneously trying to balance making things for gifts, stocking the shop, fulfilling a few commissions/ custom orders and spending time enjoying the Season....you know how it is.  I'm sure you feel the same way....crazily trying to get everything accomplished while also trying to slow down with the Family and soak it all in.

So, when I have time to myself, I try not to waste it.  Here's what I've managed to squeeze in over the weekend.

A repurposed Tshirt scarf for my niece.

I didn't use her instructions, but I got the idea from seeing this scarf here:

I made that little flower pin so she could remove it and use it elsewhere, an elastic headband, belt, jacket, etc.  I found I wanted to keep making more :)

....and I had a custom request for an all white sea glass clip with silver wire.

I finished it and a couple more, too.

So, slowly but surely, gifts are getting checked off the list....new items are being added to the shop....and that warm, giving feeling seeps in to my bones....

Better than osteoporosis :P

So, please...
....remember to take your calcium, give your loved ones a kiss and keep on crafting!  I'll be thinking of you while I tinker into the night.

Mwuah!
Cam

I love these ideas! :) I always see something smart like that on Pinterest and then go like, damn why did I through that away, it would come in handy now. :)) What are you making for gifts this year? I was thinking rings but I have to see if the idea works like it does on Pinterest. :))

Nice job on all the projects!!! I can't figure out what i would make for people, or what people even want for gifts in my family and friends. Maybe I'm in gift-avoidance mode...

Hi Cameron, Thanks for your visit to my blog and your comment! I love what you are doing here and the scarf is fabulous! I admire your energy! I have an Etsy shop but I'm a poor shopkeeper, to say the least. I need some lessons from you! LOL!
Take care and keep on keeping on! FranT

Never would have thought a re-purposed t-shirt would make such a cute scarf. It's awesome! Your niece will love it.

Happy creating Cam! Enjoy all you are doing!

All gorgeous. I love those clips and the scarf is very Burtenesque... must be the stripes :)

Fab advice and my lot never go to bed without a cuddle and a smooch - whether they want it or not ;) Sending some your way too! x

Cameron that scarf is so cool! I'd want it for myself, lol! you are a creative gal, I sure love the seaglass too!
I totally get what you mean about the business of the season. Not many hours in the day, it's so hard to keep up with blogging.
But take time to relax and enjoy the beauty of this time of year. Do you get any snow your way? I'm hoping this year it's a normal winter, not some strange freak season like last year where we had a green Christmas :-(

keep on creating girl!

Cameron, you never cease to amaze me. These gifts are SO lovely! I adore that scarf!!!! Handmade holidays are so important. Why buy factory when you can choose something crafted with love? Take care and enjoy the holiday frenzy (with a healthy dose of calcium)!

Great job on that scarf Madam! Just love what you've done there with your sewing skills ;) I wanted to do all handmade gifts this year but I'm quickly realizing I don't have time or patience! I think other people's handmade treats will be just as (if not more) wonderful to give as gifts. Can't wait to see my mom's face when she opens her gorgeous pieces from you!
