A Green Mustache and A Feline Napkin

Wow!   Hard to believe a week has gone by already!  Thanks to everyone for your support of my Blog Post over at Butterfly Effect.  I appreciate your lovely comments, for popping over there to read it....and a hug to those of you who had the time to create something for it :)

During the week, Maggie and I started making Green Smoothies at breakfast.  I can see why so many of you swear by them!

We've been putting in a handful of spinach, and either celery or cucumbers, maybe a smattering of cherry tomatoes, a frozen banana, frozen fruits (such as mangoes, pineapple, or berries), 2 scoops NanoGreens powder, unsweetened Coconut milk from Trader Joe's, a dash of whatever 100% juice we have ( like OJ or pomegranate) and some cinnamon...

I thought the color would disuade her from drinking it....but she LOVES these things!  I love that I can give her one of these with her toast and eggs before school and she'll have a full balanced meal at the start of her day!  She goes back to school again on Monday, so we'll see how easy it is to keep up with this :)

Look at that chunky green mustache...haha!

Our kitten, Sally, is such a people cat.....always wanting to know what we're doing, where we're going, what we're eating.  She'll follow us around the house and join us on the couch for TV time.  She even sits and waits on the bathmat while Maggie bathes...

This morning, we all snuggled up on the couch,.  We just had our smoothies...and Maggie was sporting another green mustache.  Why do kids never use napkins?
Who knew cats enjoy their greens, too!

Our Little tuxedo girl has quite a personality.   We took her to the Vet and when he inserted the thermometer to take her temperature, she bit him!  He had to ask the Nurse to hold her still....all 2 pounds of her...haha!

Have a great week ahead!  I look forward to sharing some new things with you soon!
Hugs, green mustaches, and kitten kisses to you all,
Cam

Ummmmmmmmmm...just sayin' ..... but, if someone were to take MY temperature the way they took kittie's temperature......... I'd bite him too!!! ;o)

The smoothies sound good. I'd have to add pink or purple food coloring though. Or drink it in the dark.

Happy Sunday!

Sooo cute! I wish I could get my son to drink the smoothies too, he smelled it and turned away, which as all things with him makes no sense because he'll eat an onion plain!

Howdy to you, Maggie and Sally!
What a kooky combination of things for that smoothie! Healthy as can be though I bet! And if Maggie loves it, well that's the most important part. Isn't it wonderful when kids actually LIKE the stuff that's good for them and want to eat it? It's like you could send a hallelujah to the heavens! HAHA! She looks so cute with that green mustache, sitting there with her cup and her kitty at her feet. I have to say, kitten kisses are HIGHLY superior to napkins anyway :P
Lots of love,
Jenn

LOL! I am LOVING the picture of your kitten biting the vet! I would too . . .
Okay, so I have been on this health kick (er, change ;) since October and one of the things I drink daily is what I call Green Juice! I get it already made from our local farmer's market - and am addicted! It's soooo good and so good for you. BUT I love your idea - I will totally try that - as soon as I get a new blender as I broke mine ;(
You are both so beautiful and I love your sweet new kitten!
We got Kendra her first Puppy for New Year's! It's busy now around here. . .
Oh, and love your PJ's! xoxoxo

My Lottie cat (who bears a striking resemblence to your kitty) loves to wash me. As soon as I pick her up or she comes to see me, she washes!
