California Dreaming

Okay, I know the last thing some of you want to hear about is snow...haha!

...and I debated whether to even post this...but since, I'm working more on my daughter's Birthday preparations (I know it's not til May, but when you get the brilliant idea to make everything from invites to cupcake toppers by hand...you gotta start early...lol!) I don't have much else to share with you.....yet!

But, it was such a sweet gesture on the part of my Hubby and Little Girl...I thought I'd share nonetheless....

It's warm here in Southern California....everyone knows that, but for those of you still in snow, I envy the gradualness of your upcoming warmth....we had to drive with the A/C on in the car today cuz it was too darn hot for open windows....in March!  We stopped for smoothies and skipped the park.....and just hid in the house the rest of the afternoon.  We're in for a scorching Summer :(

But anyways...what I wanted to show you was this!

An itty bitty snowman made from 2 bags of snow my family brought back for me from their trip to the mountains....  They said there wasn't much left up there....probably mostly gone now....

...but I thought it was sweet of them to think of me....especially since we make an effort to go see snow maybe once every couple years....and I chose to skip it this year.

This poor little guy was melting even before he was finished....

So if you are dreaming of warm days like we're experiencing here.....just remember, that while we're breaking a sweat just breathing....we'll be dreaming of where you live :D

Thinking about you all....warmly :)

I do love making snowmen, snow people, snow animals...and I'm one of the snow whiners. He's very dapper looking with his swell pink scarf. I think this was a charming post! And, I love that you "go and see the snow." - Kathy

This is the sweetest cleanest looking snowman I have ever seen! Ha ha Ours usually have grass and mud stuck on them. So cute and your daughter, beautiful. LOVED all your little cottage paintings. That mushroom house is sooo magical!

How wonderful! Oh that fair made me tear up - but am poorly and emotional so don't let the fact your post made me cry make you feel bad :P

I don't envy you at all - I can't bare the heat of summer here in the UK so goodness knows what it's like where you are.

This post "melted" my heart! No pun intended. What a sweet gesture! That snowman is a cutie. Now I am definitely in the mood for SUNNY days but not necessarily STEAMY days. LOL Stay cool, dear friend. Theresa

Snowmen may melt, but their spirit lives on in the earth. He'll be back next Winter!

Hey, I do like a good snow, but you know, there comes a time for SPRING.

I appreciate all my seasons, and you made me even more thankful for them;
thank you, Cameron!

Your snowman is adorable, and your little cutie surely had fun with that bit of cold stuff!
