Suffering from Unfinished Project Syndrome!

How does time go by so fast?
One minute, I'm having a wonderful Summer....reading an actual book (haven't had time for one of those in ages!) and sightseeing with my family....

The next, I'm ushering my child out the door, arms flailing out like a rubber octopus grabbing for keys, sunglasses, purse, lunch, backpack, sunscreen, that thing I needed to return at the store....etc!

I'm nagging my poor Husband to get up on the roof and wield a brush in one hand and paint can in the other while balancing on our sloped tiles (We got notice from our HOA before we left for vacation to repaint our shutters...and he won't let me do it).

I'm looking at a stack of fabric that no matter how much I wish, won't turn itself into a set of curtains and cute, little pillows...

I'm busy.....like...always doing something...busy....
But, nothing seems to be getting done.
I have grand plans to unveil dazzling  "after" photos of all our efforts around here.
Truly...

Like, our yard.

I've started planting some pots....but, I can't put them where I want them to go until we get the rest of the yard done (including grass....we got notice for that, too)....

That dirt under the pot is my lawn :)

Halloween is on it's way!  I got an early start this year.....
With this cute door hanger...

That needs to be sewn shut and have it's ribbon hanger added with ghost button accents.

....and I'm attempting a felt monster for the first time.

Though, right now he has no arms, legs or filling....haha!

I have been spending my free time recently getting ready for my SIL's Baby Shower this weekend.

It is monkey themed...these are the prize bags.
I wanted each to be slightly different.  I did these all with just circle punches (and a hand drawn oval template).

I think they turned out nicely :)

I still consider this an unfinished project, though....lots of tags, favors, decorating and table signs still to make.....busy, busy!

There are more incomplete wonders here....many, many more.....but, if I keep dwelling on them, nothing will ever get done...haha!

What's been keeping you busy?

Until later, My Pretties...
Cameron

You are a busy lady! Love your pots - mine are all dried up and screaming for some attention. The shower theme is adorable...I'm busy getting things ready for my son's wedding next month and doing some blog repair too! Big hugs!

You are one crafty lady. How do you find all the time to create!? I beg for time in my life to do something.

Sounds like you need to SLOW down... I feel the same way most of the time. I wonder why we feel like we have to do it ALL NOW. I am sooo busy all day doing and doing, that the only time I can work on "my" stuff is in the middle of the night.Good luck to you and all the other mothers out there!!! Just remember we are humans, we are SUPER HERO'S. I'm not bragging but I can carry 15 bags of groceries a sippy cup, stuffed animal, half a pop tart, my purse and still manage to direct my two year old in the door. Ever seen a man do that???? lol
Tootles, Heather
PS I am in LOVE with the wonderful, cute, cuddley, make me smile MONKEY bags!!

My. Speaking of busy, you certainly have a busy HOA. Tell them to slack off. You have monkey bags to take care. That'll at least make 'em stop and think for a moment... :o)

Love the kitty fabric. You'll come up with something. I just know you will. Good thing you aren't bored!

Ha! I love all your fab projects! You are crazy busy! Those monkey bags are the cutest things ever and I love the monster and kitty fabric too! Your HOA will just have to get in line - arts and crafts come first! I finally did the watermark - yay! It is a bit more complicated on my version but I figured most of it out. Still having some issues tho. My copy of photoshop is not real stable - it's pretty finicky. Thanks again for your help!

Dear Cam...I can SO relate to your dilemma! My head is practically spinning - I have so many things going on. I have a new job, I'm still at my current job, and I am trying to keep on top of Faerie Moon. Needless to say, I've been quite tired. LOL Tomorrow, I get a little "me time" and I am going to r-e-l-a-x!!! I hope you can catch up with things. I love all your projects - and your yard is looking so lovely. Be well! :)
