Hack JOb!

I just wanted to slip in and apologize to everyone who may have received an email from me saying that I needed money.....  I just want to reassure you all that I am fine....and this wasn't really from me!

My email was HACKED....all my contacts stolen!  I'm so sorry to have your Inbox be filled with this trickery!  It makes me so mad and sad at the same time!
I just wanted to make you aware that I was contacted by what I thought was Yahoo earlier today asking me to login again....turns out this was not Yahoo and how the sneaky a**holes got me :(

I am in the process of trying to restore everything that was taken, including old saved emails....so bear with me if I haven't responded to a message you may have sent me...

    I received a bogus email from you, but I knew straight away without a doubt, it wasn't really you.
    I bet you are fuming!!

    Hope you get this on time, I made a trip to Swansea,Wales and had my bag stolen from me with my passport and credit cards in it. The embassy is willing to help by letting me fly without my passport, I just have to pay for a ticket and settle Hotel bills. Unfortunately for me, I can't have access to funds without my credit card, I've made contact with my bank but they need more time to come up with a new one. I was thinking of asking you to lend me some quick funds that I can give back as soon as I get in. I really need to be on the next available flight.

    I got the same one as Micki. But I'm used to it by now since it's been going around for a while now. :) It's good you told us how you got it, Cam. I'll pay attention to such mails. Thanks!

    Yahoo accounts have been getting hacked left and right; I had one friend who had hers hacked twice, so thinking they should upgrade their firewalls....yeah?
    Knew it was bogus.
    No worries.
    Hope you can get everything repaired and new passwords, etc set.

    I didn't think it was you - didn't read like you and I'm *almost* sure you woulda told me if you were coming to the UK :P Kind of threw me that it was signed by you - they are getting craftier and craftier these hackers! I had emailed to let you know but am guessing you are getting lots of those emails! My Facebook was hacked last week though they never did anything with my account. These people need to get themselves a life methinks.

    Yes, I got this email from 'you', but I knew right off that it was fake, because my sister went thru this same thing. It's awful! I didn't even open it. My sister's email had her husbands name in it and all kinds of personal info. Be careful everyone. If you ever get one from me, please know it's not for real.

    I had one of my email accounts hacked last year and I had no idea until hotmail shut down my account! What a pain.

    ~a little late replying...but see the one thing they didn't do was come across as kind as you...when i opened and started reading i knew right away as well...i thought...she would never come across as bold as this...

    i am so sorry you have fallen in the hands of these evil ones...i know your pain and frustration as i had my paypal account hacked into and they made a hefty little purchase...i had to wait many days for the whole thing to be resolved...was not a pretty sight...i will make sure to pay attention if yahoo asks me to verify...so so sorry and hopefully you will have this mess fixed soon...be well and much love ligh and blessings~
