That Cozy Feeling

Hello Everybody!

I apologize in advance for the short post....between my kid having the next 2 days off and trying furiously to stock my shop with new fun things....
....I was afraid I wouldn't have another moment to pop in...

Okay, so that said, the first thing I wanted to tell you is that I'm offering FREE WORLDWIDE SHIPPING to you, my Dear Bloggy Buddies, on everything in my store!
I've only invited you and my past customers to enjoy this discount...so I hope you know just how special you are ;D
....and, of course, I was hoping to entice you....maybe even if just a tiny bit......to peruse my wares when searching for that perfect little something this Holiday :)

Okay....shameless plug over....back to our regularly scheduled blog :P

The newest things that have taken up my time are these little reusable coffee/tea cup cozies.
I used a cardboard sleeve from the local coffeeshop as a template...
This sleepy guy is wondering when the coffee will be done...hehe....an owl after my own heart ;P
I don't use patterns or even sketch out the shapes I want to cut, I just take scissors right to felt and snip away....makes each one absolutely one-of-a-kind....

I handstitch every little piece on...which makes them terribly time consuming!
I was supposed to have 8 of these done by now....
I picked 8 as a random number simply because I made 8 of these cute cup giftcard holders to include with them :)

I've managed to make 3 in 3 days....yes, it takes me about 3 hours to make one of these coffee cozies....I wouldn't usually waste so much time on a project of this nature....
...but, I've been able to stitch and catch up on TV shows on Hulu...
I'm now up to date on Grimm and Once Upon a Time...haha!
So, if anyone would like a specific theme or animal, let me know...I'd be more than happy to make a cute cozy for ya'...
Besides, I'm sure I could find another TV show to become addicted to :P
The theme over at Butterfly Effect this week is cats....so I was sure to make one!
...And, speaking of Amy (she is the founder of the buttery fun, in case you didn't know), I took another of her FREE workshops on the weekend.

Here is what I made:
Face is watercolor  and ink...and some nail polish!

I tried to do a gel transfer which ended up pulling my paper away instead of leaving the image behind...but no biggie....I just added a bunch of stuff to her hair to cover it up...and it looks like it was all so planned...haha!

But more than trying things I've never done before, which is a fun part of these classes, is the comraderie of being in a Live class environment....just chatting and creating all at the same time :)
I like it so much, I'm looking into webcams now...so watch out...I may be invading your screens soon....hahaha!!!

Have a wonderful rest of your week!
Much love,
Cam

OMgosh Cameron, these are so cute I think I'll faint. ;) Oh my 3 hours? sounds like me... how will you ever make money like that? I usually end up practically paying someone to buy my stuff... lol! but they are so adorable!

Love your painting. I've thought of joining in on Amy's thing but the times haven't worked out. Can you hear others talking? or is it just typing?

xx Jaime

Thank you so much for the sweet words at my blog. I just love this blogging world - it's so wonderful to be able to be kind and conscious - to read wonderful stories, to be inspired, see the work of others - it's what the world more of needs .

I love your coffee cozies - they are so clever, the designs are really cute. I also like to have 'idiot box' (TV) projects, it kinda makes me feel less guilty about sitting in front of the box. I hope you sell out in your shop!

Ooh I do love your finished piece. Note to self... must do mine! I watched the last bit of the video last night as I dropped out after the first hour on Sunday and couldn't get back in... then got distracted by Downton Abbey on TV!
I love the group session too - it's really cool to all be there creating together.
And by the way - those cosies are just gorgeous!!

LOVE LOVE LOVE the coffee cosies! You are so so clever.

Did I tell you that I gave my beautiful cat painting of yours to my little cat mad niece. Every night she hugs it and puts it on her bedside table to see first thing in the morning! Just as well you make sturdy paintings!

Oh Cam these are soooo adorable! I'm really getting in to the owls - they are the best thing next to unicorns! You've got thm both. I want to order a print of your unicorn soon for my studio redo but I need to wait just a little bit. I might have to grab myself an owl while there still available!
Love your girlie painting too - she's gorgeous! Such talent my dear!!!

wow her face is just stunning, she looks so beautiful Cameron, I love how you are constantly experimenting and learning new skills, something I really need to get onto for sure. Im going to send you a needle felt needle, it means you can make these coffee holders by just good old stabbing with a needle and you dont have to stitch 100%, I think it will cut down you time to an hour each including cutting. I will go pop it in an envelope now.
sorry ive been absent, busy busy with my e-world suffering : (

much love

These are soooo cute! I love how the owl looks all sleepy. I would love it if you would want to help me make a header and/or background! I wouldn't be able to pay you, but would you want some tea or art or something? If you would like to give it a go, feel free to use any of the photos ever posted on my blog, or no photos at all!
